MacBook Pro Screen Repair

The A1707 is the MacBook Pro 15-inch WITH Touch Bar from 2016-2017 - Apple's flagship Intel MacBook at the time. At 10-9 years old, it's an older machine. Screen repair at £289 makes sense if you need the 15-inch display and quad-core performance. However, note that macOS Sequoia doesn't support Intel Macs (stuck on Sonoma), and A1707 has known issues (Flexgate, GPU failures, battery swelling). We provide honest assessment.

Yes. The A1707 15-inch has the same Flexgate issue as the A1706 13-inch. The display flex cable is too short, causing 'stage lighting' (bright spots at screen bottom) that progresses to complete backlight failure.
